Better Tomorrows for Many… In Memory of One.

The lives of many children have always been a source of inspiration for great things and good causes. The inner beauty and innocence which characterizes a child’s period of growth has served as a guide to many famous painters, exceptional writers and excellent composers, just to name a few.

The death of one of these beautiful children produces a void and deep sadness in those who have to cope with that loss. Sometimes one never recovers, but in some other cases, marvelous acts can be done to keep a child’s memory alive and, by doing so, ones suffering becomes joy and kindness.

When Mario Antonio Pérez Tapia (MAPET) passed away in 1988, after just one year of life, his family pledged to keep his memory alive through acts that would improve the lives of other children and therefore make it possible for them to have and live in a better world.

Today, the living memory of this child brings programs to life that are beginning to take shape and helps develop projects that will make the difference.

In this struggle between pain, grievance and the intention of honoring the memory of a loved one on a daily basis, is when MAPET International Foundation, Inc., is born.
